Are you sure? 

My limited testing seems to show that if I fail nginx on the node where
vip runs, then the vip resource is moved to another node (since I have 2
nodes only it doesn't prove I'm correct, in a multinode scenario it
could have chosen a node where nginx has failed too).

What would you suggest to achieve the configuration I gave in an earlier
post in this thread?

How can I simulate the failure with ptest to see what would really
happen?
