<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Do I need to get the kmod from linbit
and install the rpm with rpm command? Or do I have to build the kmod from
sources?</font>

In short yes.<br>
"drbd.rpm" is just a virtual package, depending on all of<br>
the various other drbd userland packages.<br>
Just don't install drbd, but drbd-utils, drbd-...,<br>
those you actually need, (and the kernel module),<br>
but not all of them.<br>
